Workshop on ”Light optics in automotive industry“ was held on 20 November 2018 in the seat of Hella Autotechnik Nova s.r.o. Participants were not only current COC members but also new enterprises that are considering becoming a member. In the morning, Hella employees presented what they work on, what their direction is and what challenges they are facing; their slide shows were focused on following topics: Headlight R&D – future development, Signal lamps – simulation methods and trends, and Optical inspection – artificial intelligence. The presentations were followed by discussion related to short introduction of new members and applicants. In the afternoon, there was a company tour in the production area and light laboratories combined with practical examples of current manufacturing program.
