Workshop on “Digital technology in optics” was held by the Czech Optical Cluster on 22 May 2019 in the seat of the regional authority in Olomouc. Not only current COC members, but also the newly accepted ones (Ray Service, Thermo Fisher Scientific Brno, Brno University of Technology and Institute of Photonics and Electronics) were present. The initial word of the chairman of the executive board, Mr Jiří Nuc, was followed by lectures concerning e.g. advanced metrology of shack-hartmann sensors, holographic microscopy, optical systems simulation, reflection recognition and processing, optical production from unusual materials, or diffraction optical structure for sensorics and communication. The lecture was followed by discussion, networking and dinner.
