The Czech Optical Cluster organized the third professional workshop this year on 20 and 21 November. Fifty experts in the field of optics came to the workplace of the Institute of Physics of the HiLase Academy of Sciences in Dolní Břežany, who dealt with current topics in the field in the form of lectures and discussions.
The content of the first day of the workshop was a presentation of the infrastructure of laser centers of the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, followed by an excursion to the laboratories of HiLASE and ELI Beamlines. The second day was followed by expert lectures and discussions by representatives of industry, science, and government on topics:
- development of optics and support of research in the Czech Republic
- industrial cooperation and connection of activities with the National Center of Competence – Center for Electron and Photon Optics
- involvement of Czech optics in excellent research
