This session will focus on the increasingly important topic of “Defence and Optics,” presented by our member HiLASE Centre.
During the online meeting, the following key topics will be discussed:
- HEL systems, Beam Control & Adaptive Optics (ns/ps/fs pulses, wavelength and pulse engineering, beam shaping)
- Laser–Matter Interaction (LIDT, modelling and testing of various materials and laser systems)
- Advanced manufacturing technologies for enhanced durability and reliability (LSP, LMM, and other cutting-edge technologies)
- Photonic sources for rangefinders, LiDAR, and communication systems
The Optical Coffee Chat provides an excellent opportunity for informal discussions, sharing expertise, and building new connections across the cluster’s member community.
