The new center will not only bring a significant investment in the development of science and industry, but will also strengthen Brno’s international position as a key European innovation hub. The center will have a major benefit for the region, from creating new highly qualified jobs to supporting the local innovation ecosystem.

“We have been based in Brno and have been making electron microscopes here for more than 30 years. There is a great innovation ecosystem, many educated people and a good supply chain. The new building, when it opens in the summer of 2026, will allow us to even better help our customers push the boundaries of human knowledge. We will now have a space that will bring us new challenges and opportunities, which modern science and technology require. At the same time, it confirms that the industry is thriving in the region,” said Petr Střelec, director of the Brno branch of Thermo Fisher Scientific Brno.
