On 1–2 December 2025, the city of Ostrava hosted the DVN Ostrava Lighting Workshop, the first event of its kind in the Czech Republic within the Driving Vision News workshop series dedicated to automotive lighting technologies and innovation. The workshop offered a rich programme of expert presentations, discussions and networking opportunities for participants from industry, research organisations and academia.
The Czech Optical Cluster (COC), together with its members active in lighting technologies, actively participated in this unique event, which highlighted the newest trends in vehicle lighting systems, technological innovations and the connection between established industry and cutting-edge developments.
With the theme “Vehicle Lighting in Czechia: From History to New Tech & Innovation”, the workshop featured talks and panel discussions focused on the evolution of lighting systems, digital prototyping, virtual testing and the role of universities and research institutions in supporting innovation.
The event provided an important platform for knowledge sharing, new partnerships and strengthening collaboration in the field of lighting technologies both within the Czech Republic and internationally.
