At the prestigious Laser World of Photonics 2025 trade fair, held in Munich from June 24 to 27, 2025, the Czech optics sector made a strong showing. The Czech Optical Cluster presented the Czech industry and research alongside renowned institutions:
- The Extreme Light Infrastructure ERIC (ELI ERIC)
- HiLASE Centre of the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences
- Institute of Scientific Instruments of the Czech Academy of Sciences
- Institute of Photonics and Electronics of the Czech Academy of Sciences

The joint booth attracted experts from around the world and once again confirmed the growing international prestige of Czech optics. Numerous meetings and discussions took place at the stand.
In cooperation with the HiLASE Centre, we also organized a Czech booth party, bringing together professionals, researchers, and partners for an evening full of networking, discussions, and celebration of Czech laser technologies. You can find more information and photos on the HiLASE Centre website.
During the trade fair, we met with partners from our international projects. As part of the PhotonQboost project, we engaged with representatives from Photonics Austria, Photonics Finland, and several German clusters, all supporting our shared mission to foster European SMEs in the field of photonics and quantum innovation. More information here.
We also met with partners of the LASER-PRO project, which focuses on the development of cutting-edge laser technologies and support for European excellence in photonics. At a joint booth with the main project coordinator – the HiLASE Centre, we discussed current project topics and opportunities for further collaboration. The discussions also involved representatives of the Litek cluster and other partners.
We are already looking forward to the next edition of the trade fair, which we plan to attend again.
