The Czech Optical Cluster, together with the Institute of Physical Engineering at Brno University of Technology (BUT), participated in organizing the second Optics Day 2025. The event, held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, attracted nearly 150 students, researchers, and business representatives who came to see and present how light influences technology, science, and everyday life.

The program featured presentations by leading companies and cluster members, such as VALEO Autoklimatizace k.s., Forvia Hella, Carl Zeiss spol. s r. o., Meopta s. r. o., Telight Holding s. r. o., Narran s. r. o., Liss a. s., and company ROBE Lighting s. r. o. Lectures and practical demonstrations at company stands showed how optics are used in the automotive industry, laser technologies, and microscopy. The Amazing Theatre of Physics (ÚDIF) provided through its performance that physics can be not only educational but also entertaining.

The program also included inspiring stories from BUT graduates who now work at places like the Institute of Scientific Instruments of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Lightigo, and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Their successes prove that Czech optics and photonics have a lot to offer, both at home and abroad. Through events such as Optics Day, the Czech Optical Cluster actively participates in popularizing the field and motivating a new generation of experts who will continue to push the boundaries of modern technology.
