We are proud to announce that Mr. Vítězslav Moťka, co-founder and Ambassador of the Czech Optical Cluster, has received the prestigious title of Personality of the Czech Defence and Security Industry.
The award was presented by the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, the Army of the Czech Republic, the Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic, and Veletrhy Brno, a. s., on the occasion of the IDET 2025 fair in Brno.
This honor recognizes his lifelong contribution to the Czech defence and optics industry — particularly through his career at Meopta s.r.o., where he rose from testing technician to CEO. He played a key role in developing rugged optical systems for both military and civilian use, reviving rifle scope production, and securing essential deliveries to the Czech Army.
Mr. Moťka has also been a strong advocate of cooperation between industry, the military, and academia — values that continue to shape the mission of the Czech Optical Cluster, which he co-founded in 2017.
