The Czech optical cluster is constantly growing – it has accepted two new members, APPLIC, s.r.o. and Carl Zeiss spol. s r. o.

ZEISS is an international leader in optics and optoelectronics with solutions for the semiconductor, automotive and engineering, biomedical research and medical technologies, as well as spectacle lenses, photographic and film lenses, binoculars and planetariums. ZEISS Group’s broad portfolio includes six business groups and various strategic business units in four segments. These units develop, produce and distribute optical systems, such as lithographic systems, industrial measuring technologies, microscopes, surgical microscopes, ophthalmic diagnostic and therapeutic systems, spectacle lenses, planetary technologies, film cameras and lenses, as well as binoculars, riflescopes and spectra.

The company APPLIC sro was founded in 1991, currently has about 40 employees and an annual turnover in the range of CZK 80-90 million. The subject of the company’s activity is the deployment of systems in the field of machine vision, heating industry – systems for regulating thermal equipment on the side of heat consumption, ie on object transfer stations, mixing stations and exchanger stations, as well as remote control of section switch-disconnectors in the field of energy. The main activity in the field of optoelectronics is the development of infrared radiometric cameras and their incorporation into hyperspectral systems.
