LEAD OPTICAL ENGINEER JUNIOR

We develop and produce premium lighting systems and Electronics modules for the automotive industry. By doing so, we shape the appearance and character of vehicles around the world. In this exciting position you are main responsible for the light/optical engineering part in customer projects in our ZKW Engineering Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate optical development tasks within the project under guidance from senior leads.
• Organize and track the work of optical engineers, ensuring progress and timely execution.
• Communicate with project management and cross‑functional teams to align optical activities.
• Prepare and consolidate basic optical status updates and documentation.
• Build understanding of lighting requirements, project workflows, and ZKW processes.
• Support coordination of optical deliverables across project phases (design, validation, production release).
• Help identify and track smaller issues, risks, or open points related to optical development.
• Willingness to travel for necessary cross-company appointments or in person customer meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completed education in a technical/scientific field like physics, electrical/mechanical engineering
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate tasks within a team.
• Good organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Technical thinking and willingness to understand optical and lighting‑related topics.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Proactive, structured, and solution‑oriented working style.
• Good English skills for international
