From May 19 to 21, 2025, the annual conference of the Czechoslovak Microscopy Society – Microscopy 2025 took place in Liberec, where the Czech Optical Cluster was proud to be a partner organization.

The packed program featured a wide range of cutting-edge scientific topics—from cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) and 4D-STEM to fiber optics and AI-powered image analysis. In this inspiring setting, Cluster Manager Petr Přikryl gave a presentation on:
“Czech–European Collaboration in Photonics: Opportunities and Challenges.”

The conference brought together leading scientists, students, companies, and institutions from across the microscopy ecosystem. It served as a strong reminder that true innovation emerges where knowledge is shared across disciplines and international collaboration thrives.

A huge thank you to the entire organizing team—especially to Kamila Hrubanová, President of the Czechoslovak Microscopy Society, and Vladislav Krzyzanek, President of the European Microscopy Society, for guiding the event with precision, passion—and just the right amount of electrons!
